One Step Chicken
If you want that smoked chicken taste without the smoke, use this quick and easy marinade and you’ll be one step closer to great food. Whether you like the flavor of hickory or mesquite, this recipe will satisfy that craving and you won’t need to start up the smoker!
You need:
- 1 lb of chicken
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp Classic Hickory or Pete’s Mesquite Seasoning
- Combine the oil, vinegar, and seasoning together in a bowl. Set aside 1/4 cup of the marinade. Place chicken in a container or 1 gallon zip-top bag and pour marinade over the chicken. Close container and place in refrigerator for 60 minutes. Turn the chicken over after 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove chicken from refrigerator and discard marinade. In a large skillett, cook chicken over medium-high heat for 5 minutes on each side or until color develops. If your skillett is not oven-safe, cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil, place the chicken on the baking sheet. Brush on reserved marinade. Bake for 20 minutes.
