One Step Queso

You will run out of this queso if you don’t make enough of it. Everyone will be clamoring for more once they taste it.  It’s perfect for a warm snack or for entertaining during the big game on a cold day.

  • 1 lb (16 oz)  block Velveeta Cheese
  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Classic Hickory or Pete’s Mesquite Seasoning
  • Optional: 1 can (10 oz) RO*TEL Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
  1. Combine beef and seasoning thoroughly and cook in a skillet with onion.  Cut the Velveeta into 1/2 cubes and melt the Velveeta in a saucepan or microwave.  To the melted cheese, stir in cooked ground beef and onion (and RO*TEL if using it.)
  2. If you still want more smokey goodness in your queso dip, stir in more Classic Hickory or Pete’s Mesquite Seasoning to taste.
